Highlight of the monitoring of peer Educators:
The programme office of ACERDEN, Miss Ani sussan highlighted on the purpose of visit by ACERDEN which include the report rendition by PE in the previous work. She also mentored them on the use of the new PITT. Order in which peer educators should be during their cohort sessions. Some of the leaders were not in the teaching position during the cohort session. She also explained to PEs how the cohorts sessions should be.
The African continent is facing a series of technological, human, social, economic and environmental challenges, which if not resolved, will disrupt the basic life support systems, contribute to the degeneration of institutional structures and perpetuate underdevelopment.
Nigeria, like other developing countries, is faced with the problem of food insecurity, widespread poverty, illiteracy, human misery and environmental degradation among the urban and rural dwellers. Access to education, health and safe drinking water are grossly inadequate in the urban cities and are almost non-existent in many rural areas of Nigeria.
